Meeting of the President of FAFCE with Card. Hollerich, President of COMECE in Luxembourg
During this exchange, they discussed many subjects of common interest, in particular the cooperation between COMECE and FAFCE starting mid-March during the Catholic Social Days in Bratislava, in the worrying context of the war in Ukraine.
Also on the agenda is the 25th anniversary of FAFCE, on the occasion of which Pope Francis will receive the Presidential Council of the Federation on the 10th of June in the Vatican. The audience will be followed by an international seminar on the role of family associations in Europe: the President of FAFCE has thus invited Cardinal Hollerich to speak during this day of celebration.
Finally, they discussed the possibility of developing and sustaining a network of families in Luxembourg, with the aim of allowing FAFCE to have an active member in the Grand Duchy.
All this work being done with limited means by FAFCE, they also mentioned the development of joint projects to support the Federation.
In 2021 FAFCE concluded an agreement with the Council of European Episcopal Conferences (CCEE), of which Cardinal Hollerich was recently elected Vice-President.
