Help without borders in the middle east: can Belief build bridges in a place of war?
TheoBar Conference, Monday 25th March
Humanitarian work is essential in times of war and especially in the Middle-East nowadays. Yet, comes the challenge to help disregarding differences, encompassing all. Can faith guide in this context?
Mr. Large will share his experience with us as a humanitarian worker and as a Christian.
François Large, humanitarian aid coordinator at the Fondation Caritas Luxembourg, is managing the humanitarian aid projects of Caritas Luxembourg worldwide. He focused on the Middle-East since 2006 and on Syria since the beginning of the war in 2011. Caritas implements emergency life-saving projects across Syria through local teams and started to support reconstruction of war- damaged houses in Homs. Caritas is funded by the European Commission, the Luxembourg Foreign Ministry, the United Nations and by individual donors.
